Hello Everybody, Andy Again!being as my 'The Great Hepa Debate' Thread (www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-...) has gained popularity, I got to be thinking. Are Generic or genuine bags better? Here are my thoughts!
Genuine NOS Bags seem to be the best. new bags aren't as good quality. i would buy some Generic bags before new Genuine, but NOS Bags are the best! Andy Rousonelos imdafarmer5088@gmail.com |

I have 9 genuine NOS bags, and 4 remaining generic (used the other 8/in use). The 2 bags on my shop table are test bags (IE Ejector or cleaning capabilities). These Genuine NOS bags last FOREVER! The Generic bags lose suction a little quicker, but they filter well! I save one of each style NOS Electrolux bag and use the rest

Well, i got a surprise! My darling Boyfriend had a pack of 12 generic upright bags sent to my house on 1 day shipping with his subscription to AMAZON Prime! I called him to ask why his mail came here (box) and he said Surprise!
I will have Genuine NOS bags when my Electrolux Epic 3500 arrives next week Andy |

I was given an original 8 pack of Genuine Kenmore upright bags from my Grandmother (3 came in the bag) when she gave me her old Kenmore Progressive 300 Upright, and I use Generic Envirocare bags in it.

Well, I dont use Generic Kenmore bags. The progressive canister belonged to my Mom, the 3.9 to my Other grandmother. Both used Genuine Bags

I currently use Walmart Arm'n'hammer bags, but I have a pack of Genuine from Goodwill, and one from grandmother when she gave me the vacuum.

I bought nos Electrolux 4 ply bags. Germgrabber, Surething, etc. I found the rubber seals to rip as shown in the bag on the right. Sometimes as soon as installing them. I went back to new Aerus bags for that reason. Not sure if a torn rubber seal leaks much dirt or not, but didn't want dirt getting in the motor. My thoughts are over time rubber can become less pliable and rip....

yes, those Rubber Seals do rip over time. The one that was a genuine Bag that ripped was because i accidentally opened the bag door then i was reaching for the automatic control dial, and the suction ripped it! The older bag that has a ripped membrane is all because of the age of the bag
