UPS delivered my new Apex yesterday with one smashed Bakelite rear wheel, and one cracked one. I'm guessing they were quite rough with the box. Does anyone happen to have any spare Apex parts sitting around, or perhaps know of a place that may still have stock?

Awww I'm surprised they didn't bubble wrap all the wheels knowing it was a vintage machine.

Have you told UPS about this yet?

Brandon, please check your e-mail; I've filed the claim with UPS.

Filing a claim isn't really my main concern, I'd really just like to find a pair of rear wheels for it since these are pretty uncommon and I have about 5 different Apex models now. The machine appeared to have been well wrapped, but unfortunately Bakelite is just so brittle in the cold. I wouldn't be surprised if the box was set down with excessive force many times during transit due to its large size. This was not the shipper's fault, it was UPS who damaged it.

New wheels

Maybe some Royal metal upright wheels would work.. They look as wide as the Royal wheels. Maybe it is worth a try...
