Hey everyone, wondering if anyone has seen these, and if so, are they any good? First, here's one from Vapamore, I think they are also known for their steamers.

And here's one from a company called Johnnyvac, never even heard of that brand.

The Vapamore looks almost exactly like the Air-Way Sanitizor, the current china built canister with the Air-Way nameplate stuck on it. The JohnnyVac has an interesting power nozzle that I've seen before (Tacony was considering it for the Fuller Brush line, and I was given the prototype. Tacony went with a different nozzle - but I got to keep the prototype).

Personally I've never seen either one in person. I have heard of Johnnyvac, but the Vapamore, this is the first time I've seen or heard of it! In looking at both machines on the website, I would think that either machine would probably be a screamer with such high wattage motors, and they don't look like they're all that insulated for sound! With that said, the Vapamore offers a lifetime warranty and costs $50 less than the Johnnyvac which only offers a 3 year warranty. I don't suppose for the money you could go wrong trying one, if you decide to pull the trigger on one and buy it, let us know what you think of it!

Do some digging with google.

It appears Vapamore is relatively new, and imports from China.

The owner is Salmax LLC.

JohhnyVac appears to be a Canadian company, and has been around since 1975

johnnyvac

The site seems to be mostly in French, so yes, it's probably Canadian. Out of the two vacuums, the johnnyvac seems to be a bit better. I also discovered that perfect products makes a backpack vacuum, I may consider getting that. The thing with backpacks is, people seem to either love them or hate them, there's not a lot of middle ground.

The thing with a backpack

I would think they would be great for a larger area, as in a commercial setting, church, etc.  But I could see them as a problem in a residential setting where they could get in the way in tighter spaces.

They still look kind of fun, and space aged.

I use a johnnyvac julliet [red] in the Funeral Home. We have 2 Kirbys, a Electrolux Prolux that takes care of all of the carpeting. The johnnyvac takes care of the stairs, office and the 5 bathrooms, and wherever a Kirby can't get into. It works well. I have had the Eureka Mitymite before this one and I miss the Mitymite. I have an issue with the johnnyvac not following correctly and constantly over turning.
Best,
Eric

The Vapamore power head has been seen on numerous central vacuum kits on eBay. I was never sure who made it.

The Johnny Vac has the same hose, wand and power head set up as the current AirWay Altera Sanitzor airwayvac.com/altera.html...
and the Oreck Quest Pro www.amazon.com/Oreck-Quest-Pro-Ca...
