The foot pedal machines don't have the height flexibility the dial machines have.And their foot pedal system can change height when the machine is bumpted.The dial ones don't do that.And the dial ones seem to be more sturdy. |

Royal also has or had an infinite foot pedal height adjuster. I have a Royal Everlast 8300 which has the infinite foot pedal height adjuster and I love it.
My previous Royal 880 had the infinite screw knob which was a pain because different carpet types and belt/brushroll wear require you to bend over often and twist the knob for the proper airflow and suction. With the infinite foot pedal it is so much easier to frequently adjust nozzle height. |
