Well, hello Everyone. Im looking for advice...AGAIN!
So, (hopefully*) in 2016 I will get a Kirby vacuum sweeper. I was wondering what model should i look for? What ever model I get needs to have parts readily available, and be able to shampoo my carpets. I would prefer paper bags, but a shakeout will do.
Im not concerned on attachments other that a shapmooer.
Thanks!
Andy Rousonelos
*That 'story will be told only if it looks like i can make the purchase possible!

G series

The good news is you can't really go wrong with any of them but I'd personally recommend something from the G-series. All of the parts are readily available and internally they're essentially the same as the current production Avalir. If you shop around, you can pick up a nice one for $100 or less. I grabbed a rather pristine Gsix with a full accessory kit but no shampooer for $50 at a local thrift shop.

Andy, what's your budget for your first Kirby?

I would agree with Human that a "G" series machine would be best for shampooing carpets. Preferably G5 up to the Sentria II (G10). You may have to buy one without a shampooer and buy the shampooer separately.

You can search Craig's List and ebay as well. Just keep looking until you find one that fits your budget.

You don't need a credit card for E-Bay.  You can link your pay-pal account to your checking account.  They just send a verification that the account exists and you are in business.

Well, that would work, if I had a paypal account, or a checking account. I just buy everything cash or cashiers check
Thanks for the thoughts
Andy
