Last week, I fired up my restored Aquamate 1. The 50ft. hose didn't leak (whew!) and I found the faucet adapter at a local hardware store. While somewhat awkward to use, I have a question about the spray nozzle pattern when the trigger is squeezed.

It seems that the spray mostly squirts directly into the brush assembly, then gently dribbles down into the carpet. I would think that the nozzle would spray directly onto the carpet? I have plenty of water pressure and the spray pattern is perfect as far as I can tell.

Also, what suggestions do you have for breakdown and cleanup for storage? I haven't found a cool way of removing the water from the 50ft. hose other than winding it up slowly so it leaks out the faucet end.

First I rinse out the tubing with just plain water; then suck out the water from the water supply hose with the Rainbow

U can also replace the AquaMate carpet extraction head with a Kenmore SprayMate power nozzle; or with the Rainbow squeegee for hard surface floors
