Should I go for it? Or is this a "counterfeit"?

no pics, no feedback. but 40$? I dunno? That's not a huge amount of money. It's too cheap though, something is wrong..

Well, it's coming from China- the counterfeiting Capital of the Universe,  posted by a member with absolutely NO feedback, and they've only been a member for about 48 hours.

What could possibly go wrong?

You know, when I first opened my ebay account, the first thing I thought was: 'Hey, lets sell a counterfeit vacuum!'

Fortunately, for you, your funds will be held for up to 21 days, while you possibly discover it's either counterfeit,

or that there is NO shipment headed your direction.

Then, you'll be able to whine to E-bay, they'll secretly laugh really hard, they'll release your funds back to you, and sic the dogs on the fraud who tried to steal your money.

SCAM

Everything about the ad screams SCAM.

Remember if it sounds too good to be true--It is.

1.  No pictures

2.  The Blue is not the 2015 model (hence) description is inaccurate

3.  Item is located in a country other than it's original origin.  (Made in U.S. but shipping from China)

4.  Unusually low price for value of item promised.

5.  Seller has only been a member of ebay for 2 days with NO feedback.

I would pass.

Rainbow never sold vacuums in China to the best of my knowledge. If they did, the voltage wouldn't be right anyway. If it was someone from the US who was transferred to China, and discovered their Rainbow didn't work there, they probably wouldn't try to unload it for $40. The shipping from China for the entire Rainbow and Power Nozzle kit would certainly cost more than $50. It cost me $50 to ship a Rainbow to California from Missouri.

I may have cracked the code. If you go to bottom of ebay page there is a picture. Except it's a picture of the AIR FRESHENER not the vacuum.

I think the seller is a liar!

They even ripped off the pics from another eBay seller

There isn't really a harm in buying it. You'll still be covered by buyer protection, the funds will be on hold and if they send you a fake or never send it you'll get a refund.
