About the VCCC mascot.
He was a red sealpoint Siamese, though the marking on forearms, paws, tail and face were more of an apricot color. I got him from a veterinary hospital where I was working. He was a young stray that I fell in love with and had to have him. And I just happen to remember that I brought him home the day after Thanksgiving 0f 1985, (30 years ago today.) Once home he joined my two other cats Ralph, and Alice (aka 'The Honeymooners') but he quickly took over, and ruled the roost.
My best guess is that he was about a year old when I got him, and he lived till January 8, 2004, a few months shy of 20. Of all my cats, he was my favorite, and when I needed to think up a username for the forum that came to mind. As I said, the name translates to little boots, and the markings were striking. He did have a bit of a temper, he hated being held but tolerated it when the picture was taken. In this one he's not being held and in a better mood, buy then it's about a year later.
