If you want the history of Electrolux from 1919-1965, I have that. Send me an email at Ralextaber@gmail.com.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Caligula-Ill send that right out
Vacuummania- Like general info. I know a fair amount on them but not enough to make a one-page biography on each machine/model. The upright is a long story, but it is not yet in my possession. Ill tall that story one of these days...

Here's Caligula.

VCCC mascot from 85-93, though he lived till January, 2004.The name caligula means little boots in Latin, note the gold markings on his paws. Not to mention his tail.

Awesome! I used to have a similar cat, Tiger (with his companion Sox, who is purring in my lap right now). He loved the warmth and vibrations of power nozzles, so he rode on top of them! Ha! That little cutie, i miss him!

Speaking of Caligula, here's my favorite.

When I hosted the 8th anual meeting of the VCCC guess who greeted the members as they drove up? Weeks later this page made it into the June issue of the newsletter.

About the VCCC mascot.

He was a red sealpoint Siamese, though the marking on forearms, paws, tail and face were more of an apricot color. I got him from a veterinary hospital where I was working. He was a young stray that I fell in love with and had to have him. And I just happen to remember that I brought him home the day after Thanksgiving 0f 1985, (30 years ago today.) Once home he joined my two other cats Ralph, and Alice (aka 'The Honeymooners') but he quickly took over, and ruled the roost.

My best guess is that he was about a year old when I got him, and he lived till January 8, 2004, a few months shy of 20.

Of all my cats, he was my favorite, and when I needed to think up a username for the forum that came to mind. As I said, the name translates to little boots, and the markings were striking. He did have a bit of a temper, he hated being held but tolerated it when the picture was taken. In this one he's not being held and in a better mood, buy then it's about a year later.
