Hello to all
I was wondering if anybody out there has a new old stock motor for
My Eureka the boss 12 amp upright vacuum. It was bought for me as a Christmas gift in 1997. The vacuum worked like a dream until today when the motor bearings went out completely.
The bearings were failing for about 5 years and at times, it would get louder than normal. I use it everyday almost so it has had tons of use.
I contacted eureka and they will not sell the motor to me, they said I have to see an authorized dealer.
I thought I would give the forum a try and see if anybody has any motors to sell.
Thanks so much and I included a picture of it for you to see

Look on ebay

That's where I got my NOS Bravo motor for $45. There may be a couple more on there. You don't need much skill to install it. The new motor just "hooks" to the cord.

Thanks to all of you for your input. I did look on ebay first for a motor, then Called Eureka. I didn't see any motors on ebay on Friday Morning but will keep checking. I guess i posted this in 80's and 90's vacuum section because its from 1997. But yes, I guess contemporary would better fit the description.
Thanks again to all.
