It came in the box of attachments for a Model 561, only it's definitely not the 561 manual! It's entirely black and white, and does not mention what model it's for anywhere. Did they stamp the attachments with KIRBY back then? None of them are stamped either. Any insight is appreciated!

I just compared it to the 561 manual that was also included in the box. They share a few picture, including the one on the cover. the 561 manual is definitely better constructed and thicker. They're both very pretty manuals! tongue-out

This was a reprinted one-color brochure for factory-rebuilt machines. I have seen them for a variety of models, up to as late as the Classic III.

Thanks, Charles! I thought it was a early prototype of the 561 manual. How common are these? If only I would've found the Kirby with these tools at the thrift store! tongue-out

Vac Shops could buy that manual from their parts wholesaler, to use with their rebuilt Kirbys.

Maybe that Kirby you got the manual with was a rebuilt model. It might explain some of its non-original parts.

Sadly, I didn't get the Kirby!

I bought the attachments by themselves at a thrift store, couldn't pass up good tools. Thanks for the info everyone wink

i have one of those but it has no picture of a kirby on it & it has a green tint throughout the book. it looks like a sanitronic VII picture in the manual.
