Hello! I have a Eureka VibraGroomer 2, and I love it!!! One problem: The motor has a bad burn smell and it sounds like the brushes are bad, when I tried it without the belt, it did the same thing. The vacuum 8t self is in great condition, and hardly any abuse or scratches on it. What I find funny is that their is a vintage Pittsburgh Steelers emblem on the vacuum. Lol. I found know sign of wea ring in the fan, armature and anything else. The top cover was tight above the motor armature and I thought loosening it would help, but it did not help.
Any advice is apreciated!!!!! |

Hi Logan!
The sticker you have on your Eureka actually shows the logo for the American steel industry. I can't remember if other vacmakers ever signed an agreement with the United States Steel industry, but Eureka Williams vacs made of American steel often had the "Steelmark" label slapped on the vacuum itself or on a removable paper tag. I think the agreement ended when Sweden's Electrolux bought Eureka in 1974. See below for a wikipedia article about the Steelmark. The Pittsburgh Steelers logo is based on the Steelmark...
