Step 1--Be aware the springs can cut you badly and quickly!! Step 2--Decide to not fix or use EXTREME CAUTION. Step 3--Consider finding used part or pats machine. Elux 1205 and newer are easiest to fix with caution & knowledge.Many others are best to replace. |

On the Super J and similar, there is a steel coil spring that can weaken over time. Yours is probably similar. Time to find a replacement. Pic shows one from an Olympia One, arrow points to the coil spring.
