Yesterday I decided to buy this Dyson DC55 Total clean after having my eye on it for a few weeks and since it was reduced by £130! I decided to go for it.

Having been really impressed with my DC40 that I got earlier this year, I thought I would get myself another Dyson for my collection. I had a look on Dyson's website and was going to purchase the bigger boy to my model, the DC41 but I noticed there was a limited edition version of the DC41, the DC55, I loved the colour of the DC55 and since it was also exclusive to Curry's, I thought I would go ahead and get that model, since it will be discontinued in the near future

I have to say, I am very impressed with it's performance, it, just like my DC40, is a fantastic deep cleaner, which is hard to say about a Dyson, but these new models are better than ever.

I was a bit surprised to find that the red finish on top of the cyclone was just sprayed on! Unlike the rest of the cyclone that is housed inside the bin...I discovered this after finding a small blemish on top of one of the cyclones! Some of the red had come off, leaving the black plastic underneath, I managed to fill it in with an alcohol based permanent marker, so it is like it never happened :D

I came with a ton of tools which are pretty cool, not sure if I will use some of them but you never know haha.

Here are the pictures of me unboxing an assembling it.

Fantastic machine, Glad you like it! :D I'm getting the Cinetic big ball, as it will also be discontinued later. I presume this will be the daily driver, seeing as it's new and modern? Enjoy :)

Haha

It performs better than a lot of the bagged vacuums in its price range! It is a fantastic cleaner, shame it feels quite flexible, but you get used to that, Dyson say it won't break, even if it does, I have my 5 year guarantee.

Here is a quick video demoing the performance of the DC55

My DC41 (Original) does that, but not as good as the DC55. The DC25 also does it due to the 2 rows of stiff, dense/thick bristles :D

TBH The DC41 I have doesnt feel as flimsy as my DC40, seems quite sturdy and not much different to my DC25 which is good so I like it

I have found the DC55 easier to manoeuvre than the DC40 I had. Possibly because of the bigger ball.

I really love Dysons now, they are exceptional cleaners,  they just need to make their machines feel sturdier and they will have cracked it!

Even though I really like the new Dyson uprights I I am still a bagged boy and always will be.

I wonder how many of you read that last bit wrong, lol!! :P

Lel you should get used to the DC55 build quality, my DC41 seems good, not afraid to bash it around like I wouldn't with a DC04 etc. Didn't like my DC40 that much, the DC41 is way better physically and performance wise, except for weight but IDC about that :)

Bashing it around? there will be none of that, I never abuse anything I own, lol.

I don't either but I would feel confident in doing it to a DC41/55/75 more than an 04 was what I meant :P
