I saw on ebay the other day a Kirby Tradition 1 HD for sale. I just had to laugh at that one.

I sat here and wondered how any one came up with that. As it is a Tradition Or a 1 HD. As near as I can figure the seller or some one along the way replaced the motor shell with the Motor shell from a Heritage model or redid all the trim on the machine to the Tradition trim. There are pictures of the machine. All Tradition until you see the tag on the bottom of the motor shell. Clearly someone wasn't clear on what they really had over and above that it is a Kirby.

There were no pictures of the side of the headlight or of the front of the fan case to show the position of the tale tell safety/speed switch.

Correction There are some pictures that tell the tale. It has the fan mounted safety switch that was used on earlier models. I wasn't able to load all the pictures when I first saw it.

Steve,

What you mention wasn't the only one. Just a year or so ago there was another Tradition listed on eBay that was fitted with a Heritage I motor shell, and that Tradition had a locking headlight cap.

Oh I'm not surprised that there is more than one. As the motor shells are inter-changeable. I just thought it laughable as the seller was referring to the model of the machine by two different models. We have all seen much worse bojacked and Frankin Kirby's than a collectors heart can take.
