Hi all, I need some information from some Shark fans. At my place of work, we are having a range change and new stock is coming in. We are due the two forementioned models AH450 and NV680. Does anyone know anything about these?

I know for what I've found out there is going to be 3 new models in the United Kingdom the ah450 is really similar to the Gtech AirRam but its corded and one of them is like a coward liftaway but slightly smaller but I just hope they bring the big model over to the uk and also going to get the shark rocket true pet which is already available at Argos, I will put all the information at the bottom.

This looks very similar to the Dirt Devil roommate from years ago. I want one when they come out because it looks neat and will make a great accompaniment to my rotator powered lift away.

So where does the dirt go in the Shark Rocket? I don't see a dirt cup.

Take a product (Bissell Air Ram) that's lame and make it work!

It may be Bissell in Australia, but the Air Ram is made by Gtech and British designed.

To be like an air ram it would need to be battery powered...

We received the NV680, I have to say I'm rather impressed. We're still waiting on another upright, the Rocket and the Powerhead. There's loads due in, Hoover, Vax, Miele and Bosch.

We have had some new Hoover vision cylinders, same old rubbish I've come to expect of Hoover, some new Vax again the cheaper ones and the Air. It looks like Vax have taken onboard criticism as they now have a stretch hose and a suction slider on the front.

We've had a lot on new cordless, seems that's the way the market is going. A Morphy Richards Supervac which is less than super, the Bissell Multireach which seems OK, but I especially like the new Black and Decker ORA, apart from a few niggles, it's rather impressive.

Hopefully I'll be impressed by the new shark Nv680 as i orders mine on the weekend from Costco UK which haa it foe sale now and hopefully it should come tomorrow, shark has honestly become a fantastic brand the build quality s fantastic and design is just fantastic, I understand why its got so popular in the usa now, and shark and Dyson are the only bagless brands I ever recommend, unlike brands like Hoover and Vax which have silly little clips And cheap parts that break but shark doesn't which is fantastic, and also I've noticed shark has very impressive suction and air flow.
PS is any chance you got any photos of the new shark????

What I forgot to say I have the shark rotator at the moment which I've had about a week and I bought before I knew about the new shark nv680 I've been incredibly impressed but luckily I'm still able to return it.

I love the change over with the brush roll and a "garage" for the spare brush roll on the body. Now that's clever!

I'm at Bed Bath and Beyond and they have it. It claims to clean carpets better than the Shark Rotator NV400. The dust cup seems rather small.

Looks like this would be a "broom vacuum" type machine for cleaning small messes than for whole home vacuuming.Or a "crumb vac" for picking up crumbs and spilled dry cerials in the kitchen.

tolivac

Exactly it is meant to accompany your full size upright or canister. This would be used for daily clean ups not a weekly deep cleaning.

Post# 335628 , Reply# 28   10/13/2015 at 02:39 (3,116 days old) by tolivac (Greenville,NC)

Its just as easy for me to use my Kirby or whatever canister is in reach for those quick cleanups.

Post# 335639 , Reply# 29   10/13/2015 at 13:10 (3,116 days old) by Adamthemieleman (North Yorkshire )

Having tried one, it isn't a broom vac. There is some power to it, it grips to the floor well. I'm impressed with its cleaning ability, the only problem is the small dust container and the quickly dirty filter.

Post# 335672 , Reply# 30   10/14/2015 at 02:47 (3,115 days old) by tolivac (Greenville,NC)

Guess if you use this vacuum as a whole home cleaner-be prepared to dump the bin often and clean the filter often-no thanks will stick with any of my vacuums I currently use.

Have you tried a Dirt Devil Broom Vac, Adam? I owned one for years. They're brilliant little machines, brush roll and top bin releases. I'd say this is exactly what Shark have "introduced here." Even better if there is some more power to it. Handy for those students in paying dorms or student bedsits that have to keep their rooms clean by the laws stipulated by the companies. Or those in just very small flats. I can see the worth of that alone.

Filters

Hi

Does anyone know where you can buy the filters for the Shark Rocket AH450

Thanks

Paul

Miele roses vs. Sharkerator

At least the Miele looked nice!
It probably cleaned better also. Don't tell Mark Rosen.

Thing is and even if it might not clean a hard floor as claimed, its a really good design here that mimics the SEBO ET-1 on low profile-ness and swivel neck, mimics the Cordless Air by Vax/Hoover/TTI and lots of other kinds of brands. Its a great idea having that foot sprung bin that lifts off from the side of the Shark floor head, too.

I am hoping the price would drop however - it is currently on sale in Argos UK at £179 which is like Miele/SEBO money. I feel it should be a lot cheaper than what you are getting - in the U.S and in the informercial here you get the "Free" Oreck style marketing canister vac which in the UK we won't probably get for free.

Paul - not sure if you are aware but Shark have a European/UK website. I guess a quick email to them might highlight when filters will become available.

Thanks for that info.

The Shark vacs on sale in curry. I bought the AH450 for £89, and love it.

Patrick,

Shark may be overtaking Dyson. Lower price point.
As for Bissel, not what they used to be at all from my experience.

Currently Vax TTI are the cheapest where multi-cyclonic vacs are concerned, and of course Hoover Europe. Shark doesn't appear to be as cheaply priced in the UK.
