I was alerted to this a while back by a fellow colelctor. I've been after one for a while, but wasnt going to pay the normal going rate for them.

By miracle, an unused but untested one came up on ebay, and even with postage it didnt sell. It's my birthday today, and my gran sent me a cheque, so I made an offer and won it for £25!

It was local, so I drove over at 2pm today and got it. I took my miele too so we could test it. The lady was foreign, and had the same machine as me. She'd bought it a few months ago, and couldnt work the tools out, so was selling them. Her face when I showed her where the power socket was was a picture. Still, she had laminate and hard floor everywhere, so still sold it (did get worried at one stage. She was how I expected, and we expected the Panasonic Icon bloke to be). I came home and fitted it and had a play!

It's brilliant tbh! Brushroll is quite good, and, like the icon, it spins fast even on low power, so quiet late night cleanups are do-able! Very glad I#ve got this, brings my optional extras list up to 3 (got the air powered turbo head too but my mum has that at the moment on her Miele). Vacuumed the rugs 7 times today... Looks bloody smart too!

Nice! Looks a bit like the powerhead on my Titan?? Quiet, surprising how well it works, very good on the edge or broken surfaces too. Enjoy the find.

I have exactly same head and it's surprisingly good for its size. It makes vacuuming carpets so much more easier and more effective compared to the straight suction or to the turbo head.
I made small modification to my Miele and this thing agitates!

Ooooh Mike, that#s good! May have to explore that in more detail in the future, will keep it standard for now, having never used one I may as well see what its really like in standard form.

It's a rare thing to have an electric powernozzle in the UK, I feel like a member of the select few now!

Thank you!
It's same here in the Finland. Power nozzles are VERY rare and I had hard time finding one. I paid 100 € (73 £) for it. Then I didn't even have power outlet for it in any of my vacuum cleaners. I had to do all the wiring and connections myself.
I suggest you keep your power nozzle original. It still will be good performer. My modifications will probably cause extra wear to the brush roll, belt and motor.
To keep it running strong brush roll bearings should be oiled time to time.

I saw a youtube video today where some guy flipped the brushroll end caps around to move the position of the brushroll, is this method what you mean? It probably would put more strain on the brushroll, motor and belt, so I may leave that alone if so, you're right, it probably will break, and individual parts aren't too common anywhere on the planet I fear!

I do want to make one modification though, the cable is one long length from the head to the plug, which makes swapping tools a bit of pain, so much so that I've been using the Galaxy for hard floor and above floor cleaning, then getting the Miele out for the rugs! Don't mind so much at the moment (may swap the Galaxy for a Compact though, compacts arent so rare...), but in the long run it will be annoying. Someone mentioned that I could chop the cable level with the tools end of the hose and wire connectors up so I can unplug it to use the hose. Been looking for nice looking and easy to unplug plug and socket bits but found none so far that aren't for lawnmowers. Will keep the hunt up.

Need to get the polish out already though, I've put a scuff on the side somehow... Whoops!

Yes it was my video where I show the brush roll height adjustment. It's meant to do when the brush roll brushes wear down. Needless to say I have the brush roll in lower position :) However change in the height is very small.
My power nozzle came with the same kind of external cable like yours.
Biggest problem is changing the tools. I highly recommend installing connections where the handle is. It makes a world of difference to usability of the vacuum. I got my connections from the local electronics shop. I also installed power on/off switch to the wand.

I have quite many videos in my channel where the Miele power nozzle is being demonstrated.
