Nice 'Before' Pics

It's clearly a Dyson with a suntan. Perhaps more 'factor 50' would have helped. ;-)

Keep us posted as to what happens next.......

All best

Dave T

It's not a a British model, the Animal DC07 was launched in 2003, long after the movement of production.

Actually you will see this DC07 has the round 13amp plug which was only ever seen on the very earliest Dyson DC07 cleaners - typically those made in the UK. Either this cleaner has had a lead fitted to it from another Dyson model or else Tayabb is quite correct.

Have to say I thought this cleaner had been painted at first!

I think the DC07 is british cos it got very faded and so has the older type of plastic and also the plug is round like vintagerepairer mentioned. Also, the vacuum doesnt say dc07 on the motor housing, this is for late models only and says animal on it

This model was not part of the British line up. You can tell by the sticker on the wand and the non-colour co-ordinating tools.

The DC07 Animal always did have generic grey tools - even when sold alongside those which had colour-matched. As well as this, colour-matched tools were still used on Dyson cleaners even after production moved abroad.

The DC07 Animal was part of the British line up, you can see it listed here on the UK page of the Dyson website. It was avaliable to buy from the time that the other DC07 cleaners went on sale too.

Citroenbx, as a matter of interest, where does it say your cleaner was built?

A later example

Here is a much more recent DC07 Animal, with the lettering and logo as Parwaz describes a newer version having.
