Well, the life of my Rare Montgomery Ward Vacuum Bag gave out today when I had to force the zipper out. I still have the bag. I am going to go all over town seeing if it can be fixed, since it is cloth and not vinyl. One place told me to bring it by, which I plan to. So now my Montgomery Ward looks like what is in the picture. I did clean it, but some of those scratches are permanent. But it is in much better condition compared to others I have seen on Ebay. I also did replace the wooden brush with a VG 2 brush. I plan to make a video soon of it.

What I did find out today is that my Montgomery Ward was made in the late 50s early 60s because it does not have the side things that hold the plate. It has those near the top. I was told it was late 50s early 60s.

As for the replacement of the Hoover Convertible, I did find a Sanitaire SC886 that was brand new in the box and has been up on Ebay since 2006. I have not paid for it because it seems kind of fishy. I messaged the seller. If I don't hear a response, that means it's likely a scam. I wanted to buy an SC899 with the headlight and quick kleen. There is one on ebay, but the seller wants $400 for it, and it again looks fishy because it is a picture of a 2015 SC899, but in the description it mentions it has a headlight and the quick kleen. The seller told me it has them, but will not even make a deal for retail price. I'm not paying $400 for a vacuum. More than likely I will get the SC886. I am want one with the pancake motor, not the plastic motor. Hopefully the seller will respond to my question I have about it.

This vacuum was made by Eureka Williams for Montgomery Ward. The style of motor hood and headlight dates this vac to no earlier than 1965. The design was introduced on the Eureka Vanguard in 1967 or 1968. Hope this helps! :-)

So it was likely made around 1965 then. That is cool. I hope to have a video of it soon.
