Look at this....just found it by accident on the Internet. A new Air-Way canister vacuum....but it's just a rebadged Oreck. What a shame that the new owners of the Air-Way name & trademark have reduced it to Chinese made junk. I bet many Air-Way owners won't be impressed if they see this for sale.

I remember when I was part time at Oreck and the new canister came in after the Dutchtech was discontinued. It was candy apple red/silver, beautiful color, but the first words out of my mouth was, oh God, that's an altered Hoover anniversary model. Well, we sold a few of them, and they became problematic before they ran out of warranty. Once the partnership started with Miele sharing our showroom, we never ordered another Oreck canister. That design seems to be pretty much a generic China machine, I believe I've seen them with the Royal name on them as well..oh well, that's the world we live in now.

Why? I thought Air-Way folded in 2008?

This machine is a disgrace to the Air-Way name. Nothing like their past machines. Plastic garbage.

One would think that the Air-Way Sanitizor Corporation would have disposable bags for Air-Way vacuums. They do not. Not even the horrible white generic ones. Ironic that Eureka makes Micro Lined Air-Way bags that work very well in Air-Way vacuums. I got three packs from eBay, brand new - and will continue to order them in the future directly for Eureka/Electrolux.

I remember getting new replacement Filtrete bags for my older Air Way metal canisters from Air-Tec.They work really well!!!Don't like that cheap,Plasti "Altera" canister now offered.Bet we will see those in vac shop trade in piles and by trash cans on trash day! They now have central vacuums-looks like only one model is bagged.HATE bagless central vacs--HORRIBLE to dump.IaM

Couldn't complete my other post becuase my keyboard screwed up.Contining on the bagless central vacs-sure your trashman will LOVE you unless you put the debris in a trash bag-even then when the load in the truck hopper is compacted--the plastic trash bag will burst covering the trashman with dust! The paper bags don't burst with the mess plastic ones do.

Kirkwoods Sweeper Shop bought the Air-Way name. I saw this about a year ago and questioned them on it. At the time a Mark Kirkwood owned the business. Not a true Air-Way by any means.

It is too bad the patents and plans for the orig Air-Ways weren't sold along with the name-then production could have been done by the different owner. And one off the orig uprights should be reintroduced.Better than the DRECK sold under the Air-Way name now!!

A US patent last only 18 years. There are no patents on any model Air-Way that couldn't simply be used by any manufacturer. Since almost all are in China, the likelihood of them caring enough to copy some Air-Way feature (like the wonderful V-Brush dusting brush) is virtually none.

I've never used or seen an Airway anywhere from the internet but....

Weren't the Airways known for special technology and the special design that they were!! So this Oreck Quest Pro rebranded canister by Clean King of China violates every single thing about the Airway Technology and overall design!!

I test drove the red version Oreck Quest Pro at a vac shop a few years back. I liked the power nozzle. I hated the hose and found the canister version didn't maneuver very much!
