What? Do you guys not sell each of your vacuums after the bags are full? It really saves time for me not having to change them. |

Can't argue with you there, takes but minutes to empty the bag. Some people are just too damned lazy, just take a look in the frozen food aisles & see things like frozen Gravy etc for proof. |

"You can't fix stupid" is inaccurate. You can educate some people into new ways. Now laziness, as in this case, that can't be fixed. |

After all the vacuum cleaners that I rescued and re-homed from beside the dumpsters at the apartments where I lived from 2004-2014, it doesn't surprise me one bit. I'll give the seller some credit for at least recognizing it might have some value/use for somebody else and thus trying to sell it instead of just trashing it. Kudos for that.
While I did cherry-pick my rescue vacs from the total number of machines I saw trashed, each one of them needed nothing more than a bag, a belt and some basic cleaning. And the Kirby Gsix that I kept for myself didn't even need a belt, although I have since installed a new one. The others were all good to go with less than an hour's work each. Those to whom they went were thrilled to have them and I was glad to keep those machines from making a premature trip to the landfill, even if most of them were just plastic Dirt Devils. |

There's no way that selling it on eBay is easier than buying bags. So I don't believe he's selling it because of a full bag. |

Tolivac/Rex He replaced the Panasonic with a vax, so a Hoover in America, probably something like an Air series or something as those are the most common modern vaxes or some power model or the "naked" models |

Tech12 your comment about laziness and ready made foods is interesting.
While I disagree about many ready made foods and their nutritional value they are not all bad. Nor unworthy of buying due to convinience. Having not long lost a grandfather who suffered with Dementia some of these foods were a godsend to actually get him to eat reasonably properly in the absense of a family member being there at mealtimes to put a wholesome meal in front of him. Not to mention it gave him some of his independance back whilst reducing the risk of something going wrong and putting all the hard work we put in to keep his spirits high going down the gutter. Perhaps you might like to remember that just because you dont agree yourself does not mean they are not of value to anyone else. And its certainly unfair to blanket those who buy as being lazy! |

And in doing so I liked the wrong message. I have been told that the current expression to this scenario would be to say "my bad". I have corrected my error, though I am quite sure I will never be able to keep up with modern slang. |

Yep vax are tti in the uk, we see your bissels and others badged up as vax regularly, even some hoover bits too. I try to leave modern vax machines alone, their usually nothing but trouble |

Well Tolivac, whatever thoughts you may well have regarding Vax bagless uprights, they all came from ANOTHER brand. Before TTI took over Dirt Devil U.S, that's where most of Vax's bagless uprights came from.
The Bosch merged Vax AVC, later known as VX-1 and other model names was a high end premium upright vac. As Beko rightly notes, Vax were taken over by TTI as soon as they got their hands on Dirt Devil U.S and ever since then, all bagless Vax models have been on sale worldwide as Dirt Devil or Hoover products, with cosmetic differences. The only exception has been the original Vax canister, also sold in the U.S under the Dirt Devil Wizzard. Its a pity TTI don't go far enough to rebrand the bagged uprights though, much to my annoyance. Bissell and Samsung also have a merger going on; most of their bagless uprights are also made from Samsung parts. |

Thats true re bissel and samsung. I had a samsung su3350 recently whick I refurbed to sell, and at the same time one of my neighbors asked me to look at their bissel cleanview upright. Basically the same machine, with just a few cosmetic differences. |

We all like being lazy at times & I've used ready meals myself in the past, for example taking one to work for lunch. We only had a Microwave to cook with so they came in handy.

Tech12 I made no mention of ready meals although some of these are very good and no blame can be given to anyone who uses them at times.
I was also refering to the things like gravy, mash and vegetables you refer to, and as for the ready mad stock - fair old contradiction there given what stocks are used for id say..... I have a large figure so if you saw me buying them like I did do I assume you have an opinion of me being the lazy sort? p.s I spent 10 years working in the same supermarket as a fresh food stock control clerk where I spent most of my time ordering stock and I can tell you that your opinions are totally wrong. All kinds of people buy these products and as I have mentioned they suit alot of people for different reasons. |

Yes, this is a keeper for sure! Need to find a new post motor filter for it though. The hose is a bit bent too at the top, will see if it can be squeezed out Your video didnt help the urge to want one roger, but now I can tick this one off the list! |

I was looking for a post motor filter myself, but all the sites I tried were showing it as obsolete. It's supposed to last the lifetime of the cleaner, but I don't think it's washable. |

Ive removed it for now, it does seem happier without it! Not worried about filtration either! Its only filthy cos the old bag wasnt properly fitted/fell off with weight. Weve just finished having a major tidy up upstairs, having a quick rolly then gonna run it round on low! |

That Panasonic is certainly striking and I do actually like the colour, shame it is so ugly! Still very cool looking and high performing I expect.
I am surprised you thought the Vortex was a good upright, Sam, I love it very much, it is certainly higher performing than the DC01 of the time but it is not really good I don't think. A Turbopower 2 is a much better cleaner at cleaning or better still the Turbopower 1. The Vortex is not the greatest carpet cleaner Hoover produced, in my opinion, but it is definitely an icon, (no pun intended). |

I am sure the Vortex will not hold the carpet up like the Turbopower 1 or beat the same, the Turbopower 1 has stiffer brushes.
When comparing the Vortex to the DC01, the vortex is a better performer, bit stronger suction, and a better brushroll.
The DC01 suction isn't terrible, it doesn't have much suction at all at the cleaner head due to the silly cradle design that lets a lot of the suction escape as there is no seal around it so the suction leaks, if the suction was more powerful to start with it wouldn't be as noticeable. From my experience though, the Turbopower 2 has better hose suction than the DC01 and is 400w less powerful! |
