You have some great and rare vacuums Chris. One thing I've noticed are the different colors that the round Lewyts came in. I've always had a orphan Lewyt rug nozzle that is light gray with a pinkish/mauveish brush selector and always wondered what machine it went with. Do you know how many colors there were and what year they discontinued them? I have a model 55 with the dolly with all the tools and the box they came in. I recently found a similar model 40 I think that used the filter cones instead of bags and I gifted that one to a friend of mine who grew up with that machine. Both machines run like tops and the woven hoses are still functional which amazes me. Those machines seem to be indestructible! I also have a Regina canister although w/o the power nozzle in an ugly green and it works with great suction, but don't have any bags for it.
Any suggestion on bag substitution on those cyclonic models?

Rick

Hey Chris - Think I can help you with the model 11. Unless I'm mistaken the cord connector for it was the standard - bayonette fitting - light socket that they use in europe. I'm sure I have a couple of them around. email me when you have time - mjdkas@hotmail.com

Hey Chris! Love the Regina canister! Does your rust colored one have the pn? I have the same rust machine, but don't have the original pn for it. I also have a straight suction one in the same blue as the one in the pic. Keep the great pics coming! BTW, have you had any luck on the Sunbeam crevice tools? Later, Trg

Hi, thx for add'l pix -- nice AE! That XI sure has a fancy cover doesn't it! I see your XX (20) is also lacking the handle. It appears the type of rubber used for it was inferior. The one machine I've seen with an intact handle had a bad case of "leprosy" -- the handle was all cracked and crumbling. You see this in the later LX and XXX dusting and floor brushes with the same color and (presumably) type of rubber -- Disintegration City!

btw I have two XIs, one has a round plug in the rear and the other one has an oval-shaped one.
