I got this really cool Filter Queen model 33 from a swap meet! It came with most of the attachments in the box and the leaflets and paper work that came with it when it was new. It also has the instruction manual. The hose is the only thing that is not original. The guy I bought it from told me that an older gentleman gave it to him a month ago. He said it belonged to the guys wife and she bought it brand new from the door to door salesman. But thing that I find funny is that he said she only used it for one room that had hard wood floors. The rest of the house had carpet. I find it funny because she could have just used a broom for the one room or just gotten an inexpensive canister instead of getting the top of the line one. This vacuum is very clean but it's a little scuffed up in places. It's very quiet too. This is the third Filter Queen I've gotten this week. At first I had a hard time finding one but then they all just came to me at once. And I only paid $20 for it so I am very satisfied!

That is the FIRST!

2 speed model and the first with the Cordwinder that FQ bought from GE, that's the same cordwinder used on GE canisters.....this machine dates from about 64,65 or 66 I believe....More powerful than just about anything on the market today.

I love this vacuum. I think it might be my favorite one in my collection. Is there anyone who collects just Filter Queens?

Collecting Filter Queens

Sries! Congratulations on you new Filter Queen!! You have a beautiful machine there. Filter Queen is quickly becoming my machine of choice. I have a new one, but the older ones like yours and earlier are my favorites. The part I love best are the odd things they made and sold as add ons. The hair dryer, "Powr-polisher" , vibrator and so on. I would love to find the clothes dryer that attachs to the exhaust port. Best of all is the floor tool with the felt polish pad. My Filtex has this as well. with all the wood floors out ther now, why is that not still offered? It works beautifully. As mentioned on the site, I think the carpet tool is second to none. Have fun collecting Filter Queens!
If anyone reading this has a large floor tool I would love to buy it. I have several felt pads, but no attachment.

I've been looking for the clothes dryer too. And it did have the hair dryer attachment at one time but it was gone before I bought the vacuum.
