I'm thinking about buying this rainbow. Seems like a pretty good deal. How do these ones perform.
I really don't need another vacuum, but I always wanted a rainbow.

There's something not right about that machine. Note the red switch on the end of the handle - the red switch was used on the 240 volt export models. I sold model D4 Rainbows for their entire run, and none had a red switch. The power nozzle was packed in a separate box, not in the box with the main unit. If the person selling it doesn't have the power nozzle, it would be expensive to get one.

I've seen that same machine on the Craigs for about three months, with no action on it. And wondered why. and now I do. A NOS Rainbow for $499???? I think it was at the time it was listed originally... I cant remember if the initial pictures from the first ad showed a power-nozzle or not. Im glad you pointed out the red switch denoting a 220v model. I woulda never guessed that... I hope if Misinki DOES buy it that one tries out the machine first. At 220v, it's gonna run SLOOW. And a converter will be needed...

I just had a MAJOR Miele phuqckup sold out to a woman over in Jackson. She purchased a S8 HomeCare + with a seperate 236 like 6 months ago. She never brought it back in IMMEDIATELY to say HEY this thing (powerbrush) isn't workin' right. It barely runs... Finally she did, and guess what. It was (the 236) an export 220V model. I was pissed to say the least, and thankfully Miele comp'd her a new nozzle, and three coupons to use at any Miele dealer for free tuneups. I thought that was pretty cool.

And the moral to my story? That is clearly what happened here. And she (the craigslist seller) probably had no idea how to rectify it...

I'm not gonna buy it. I have 220 out in my garage, but not in my house. Good eye Tom.
I prefer the new one with the illuminated water basin. I'd like to get the 15' hose like you have, Tom.
