These are my specials, I hope to have more of them eventually :) I found out that the 541 Special came in a dark green color scheme (second from the left) and a black color scheme (third from left). Has anyone else seen any odd colorations of specials? I once saw a 105 special that was red. The first one on the left is the 425 Flat Belt Special and at the opposite end is the Special 700. I love the mint green and brown on that one :).

I also have the 541 Special in green, and the 700 Special in brown. The month and year of rebuild is stamped on the bottom. For example, my 541 was rebuilt in 7/1938, and my 700 was rebuilt in 1/1952. The reason for the different color schemes for the Specials was that when they were rebuilt, they were painted in the color schemes of recent (at the time) models. The green probably came from the model 300's, and the brown was probably from the 115, 28, or 61 models.
