I just wanted to alert all VCCC members and friends that our member, Brother Chris Lambert has died.

Details are in the Miscellanea  thread.

Again, I KNOW this doesn't belong here,   and Fred/ Robert may relocate it.  I understand.  I just thought this would be a public announcement for those who don't regularly check the Misc threads.

Yes, I can

He was a 70 yr old religious monk... a Friar, who lived in a Friary (monastery) in St. Louis.

I was just mentioning his name last week, actually.

He died in the hospital on June 20, after a brief illness.

He'll be buried Monday at St. Anthony's Parish on Monday.  I hear he had a quite nice Hoover collection, as well.

  Rest In Peace, Brother  Chris.

And, thanks Robert, for allowing those who are not upgraded to see this info.

 John

So sorry to hear this. Chris came to my home, must be 12 years ago now, for a fun visit while in town for an assembly of his order. He was a good person with a good heart. You may not know that he was also a master locksmith with fantastic knowledge of vintage locks. I had thought of him just recently as I was repairing our 1956 vintage back door lock. He is in the company of saints.

I remembered him in prayer also.  It's been so long since he posted, that I don't remember his username in here.  I'm sure Robert and Fred would have it. I wsa reminded of another deceased member:  Craig Long, (no relation). There are now, at least 4 members gone.  John

I rode with Brother Chris to a VCCC convention (when I was still a member - long time ago). He was an awesome man, we had a fantastic discussion on the way there and back about religion. I believe it was the Milwaukee convention. He opened my eyes to a lot of things. I still have the Hoover Dustette he gave me, in its original carton. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
