Hit a garage sale and ended up with a Filter Queen Model 95X with the electric hose and some attachments for $15. Fortunately a friend said he would buy it off of me for $15. I've cleaned up the machine but haven't cleaned the hose or attachments.

I have this

exact model, with all the attachments, and love it! It has great suction. Just make sure to use genuine FQ filters. Give it a chance; you might be pleasantly surprised!

Use it ONCE!

When you see all the dirt it gets behind just about anything else, you will be sold!

Filter-Queen

Is a pretty nice machine, I now have two.

As I have said before, besides the emptying a dirt tub and filter (Just do it outside), and the weak or non-effective power nozzle on some models. My one and only complaint I have with both Filter-Queen machines a Majestic 95x like yours, and a Majestic Special Edition. I wish they would put a longer power cord on them.

After you went to the trouble of shining it up so nicely, you ought to at least charge your friend $20. After all, your time is worth something.

Easy way to empty Filterqueen.

I have an attached garage and have a cloths basket that I put a tall kitchen bag in and over the sides. Then I unhook the latches on my Filterqueen and carry the dirt container into the garage and turn it upside down in the cloths basket with liner, just grab one of the tabs and it will drop right in. Have a paper towel handy and wipe the rubber gasket off. If you need to wipe down the inside of container, a little windex on the paper towel will keep it from flying....for those that don't have a garage, it will work also, but a little dust will still fly.....but it will be minimal if done correctly. Then just tie the garbage liner up and throw it away.

RE Filter Queen power nozzle

I think the old 48 FQ power nozzle is one of the best ever, FQ bought it from GE along with their cordwinder, That PN is quiet, small and easy to operate, Clay Floyd told me in all the years he sold Rainbows, the hardest machines to get dirt behind were Hoover uprights and Filter Queens, he said if someone was a good housekeeper, it was almost impossible to dig dirt behind them.
