The Miele C3 Electro Comfort is the current TOL Miele cylinder in the UK. At £600, it's one of the most expensive vacuums you can buy and very expensive by UK standards, bearing in mind that most top end vacuums from other brands retail for almost half that.

It's currently about to be discontinued, and despite still showing on the Miele website, it's out of stock. I've just managed to pick up one from the Miele outlet centre.

This has the new 700w eco motor and, I have to say, despite being lower powered than my 1600w Cat & Dog, it doesn't have any less suction power. The hose and wands are quite heavy, but that's kind of a given with remote hose and electric wand models.

Very nice mavhine

and the power nozzle is great.  I have that one on my Miele, and truly love it.

There are several machines one the market, however, that are more costly here in the states; I can't speak for them on your side of the world.

It's fab, I love it. Quite heavy to use but it does a fantastic job. I'm very happy with it. It's near silent too.

Miele should really take more advantage of their great idea of putting an LED spotlight in the hose handle. My suction-only C3 Fresh Air (like the Alize), has a battery-powered light in the handle of the non-electrified hose. It would be so simple to add it without batteries to the electrified Miele hose!

It is an amazingly helpful feature for cleaning dark corners, under furniture, in cars, in cabinets and drawers - wherever the light is too low to see the dirt. And it would not even need batteries on the hoses that already are wired for the handle controls.
