ooh yes. that is a US machine but it was not made for long at all. i think its late 60s

Eric,

That was a cheapie Eureka, maybe came out in the later 60's and ran into the middle 70's. Sears had a variation of this machine too, but I think theirs was Whirlpool-made, not by Eureka.
I vaguely remember these in the stores, they were very BOL machines, way below the performance of their regular machines.
