I thought I would do a quick test with my DC07 HEPA, I have been using a DC24 this week for doing my carpets and I've been impressed with it, but I knew my trusty DC07 would get something up. I only vacuumed 1 hour ago with the DC24. I know some of you will say about your Kirby's and Henrys etc, I have never used a Kirby so I have no opinion, though I love my Henry and I can do many things with it I would never dream of putting any of my Dsyons near to. This was just a fun test ☺

Sorry the pictures are a bit mixed up.

Tom

In the photos it shows the filter that has only needed to be washed once in 3 years

Impressive! My cousin has this exact same white DC07 HEPA model :D It is a good vacuum. A family member also has the Origin, same thing but in yellow and it the later model with the reinforced handle. It is a fantastic machine!

Very nice! It will pick up better than a 24 as a 24 only has a 650w motor, and there's not much weight over the front end so the brush roll cant dig as deep.

I'd wash the filter more regularly than every 3 years though...

Isn't it so annoying when your post has nothing to do with Kirbys but the Kirby fan-boys have to come on and bash what ever you're talking about and boast about their giant monstrosities?

HVRVACLVR: Here we are in this thread discussing Dyson DC DC24 vs DC07 and all of a sudden you popup out of nowhere and start trash talking Kirby fan boys who you say jump into a thread trashing other brands. Well it sounds like you are a Hypocrite to me for doing the same thing.

Well Tom said "I know some of you will say about your Kirby's" it's like he knew someone would come on here touting about how much better Kirby's are.

I remember in 2002 when we got our dc07 full gear when we first used It
the bin got full in just 1 minute. I also loved watching the dirt spinning around It was great

I Remember when we unboxed our Dyson DC04 Silver & Lime back in Tuesday 10th January 2011 at approx 8PM (omg I remember) and when it was fully assembled, it looked stunningly gorgeous. Very clean and not even a scratch on it.

I plugged it in and pressed the switch. "VROOM" went the motor in a nice smooth sound. The VERY moment I kicked the cleaner head, there was INSTANTLY dirt spiraling into the bin within the first push. When I had pulled the vacuum towards me, a big fluff/dust ball was there :O

I remember taking my DC25 Animal down to the local mosque as my Dad was making some project thing for display including lots of wood cutting. I took the DC25 there as the Nilco commercial uprights even the sebo style ones were not very good. They had dirty air Nilcos and a Henry too. The vacuum often, like every second day or if there's a mess. I plugged the DC25 Animal into the carpeted room (not thin flat glued carpet, but the normal dense carpet people have) and the room was about 30 metres by 30 metres I would say, if not 25. I plugged the DC25 Animal in with a long flymo cable and pushed it round the hall. Was like impossible to vacuum all of it quickly, but I got the bin past the max line. It was dust, but mainly fine white powder and grit. They never use Shake N vac or anything there either.

I love watching dirt spin around in the dirt cup! It's very gratifying to see it whizzing around in there!
