Is there a way to rebristle a Compact "Always Beauty Clean" PN brush roller? I want to put it to use once I get the roller rebristled.

The same should be brought up in regard to Kirby brush rolls pre-1990.

I'm looking at doing some of my really old kirby brush rolls.
From what I can see the bristles are held in with a U shaped piece of thick wire/ metal in holes in the wooden brush roll.
If I can pull them out, then I can re-bristle them easy enough.
Placing new bristle between the prongs of the U and forcing the U back into the wood of the brush roll should make the bristles stand upright. Then after a trim, as good as new... In theory...

I'm not sure about your compact brush roll. How are the bristles held in place?

rebristling brush rolls

It works as James said. It's easy. I have done it for years. Just do some to learn how much bristle to use. Make a tool with a flat edge like a screwdriver to drive in the staple.

it works well .i always put a blob od araldite on each tuft before pushing it into the hole .i have a good stash of brush strips for Hoover machines so i just pull them out with a pair of pliers the wire is already twisted around the bristles so its just a matter of pushing them into the brush roll

Is fantastic with rebristling! Give them a call, mail it to them, and it comes back good as new for around $30. It's truly awesome. oconnors-sales.com/services.htm...

That's nice to hear that method will work then!
Yes will take some figuring out as to bristle length.

I'm planning on using a decent quality dusting brush from a numatic, and harvest the bristles from that.
The fibres look similar to what the really old Kirby's have in the brush rolls.

Will try and fashion up some type of tool to push the staples back in with

Thanks for the tips.
