Okay, so there was a bit of a carry on with this vac, when it got to customs here in the UK I had to pay a £30 customs and handling charge! After receiving the letter from Parcelforce about the fee I had to pay, I went online as soon as the letter came and paid it, which was Thursday, last week, I said that I wanted delivery for Friday which was a selected option on the payment page.
Fast forward to Friday morning and it said on the tracking, "loaded to van for delivery" I waited in all day and NOTHING...I rang Parcelforce at about 5:30pm and they went and checked and told me that it had been returned to the depot as the driver had been unable to make it right around the area, I said "well I want it delivered tomorrow!" (Saturday) he said, "Saturday delivery is going to be £12.50" I was like... ARE YOU FRICKIN KIDDING ME?!
The parcel was late and they still wanted to charge me for delivery on a Saturday?! The guy on the phone said "I am sorry sir but your parcel will now be with you Monday" I was like "right, bye" and hung up, what a joke!
I have now had to take today (Monday) off work to wait in for the dam thing that should of been hear on Friday. It turned up and the box was bashed open! I thought, if this thing is damaged I will run a riot!!!
Here is the box, oh and notice the cleaner is upside down! |

The box was far to big for the vacuum, bad start, then I took out the "packaging" which was nothing more than a bit of newspaper, the crevice tool had fell off in the box, that is no surprise for these things, the crevice tool is forever dropping off with any slight flexing of the tool caddy. I could not find the height knob and started getting stressed out, sure enough, it was amongst the newspaper, thought it was missing at first. phew!
I guess this shows how durable these Elites really were/are, this thing would of been smashed to bits if it was a UK Turbopower. I am so pleased with it! It is LUSH! |

I was very sceptical about washing the bag, as I have washed these bags before and the logo fades and smudges. I decided to wash the bag by hand as there was not a cat in hells chance I was putting in the washer, I decided to use hair shampoo and I thought that laundry detergent would attack the transfer on the bag, here goes!! |

Hi Jamie, I do indeed, it is a site transformer, steps down from 240v to 120v I did need to buy the cord that has the American socket on one end, with the plug end to correspond with the transformer on the other. It can be seen in the video I posted above. it goes up to 3.3KVA which will run a 12 amp American vacuum. |

We used to have customers come in to the Hoover store trying to buy that "replacemetn filter"... We would then tell them that there wasn't one, that in fact it was just hair and dust that accumulated. One customer didn't believe us. LoL |
