After posting a link on Facebook about the recent Vax damaged box sale, my Mum rang me and asked if she should get a new carpet washer. Well, even though her old Vax Oasis Complete still works, I encouraged her to get the Dual Power Pro as I secretly wanted to unbox and demo it on my channel without having to fork out for it myself.

Anyway, I am at Mum's for a couple of days and so got to unbox the machine and fully test it today and the results are impressive. It has a combination of spinscrub and a regular brushroll with much stiffer brushes than previous versions I have tried, so I was hoping that the performance would match my expectations. Well, it did match my expectations and gave an excellent result on my Mum's living room carpet. The only gripe is it is very noisy (ear defenders recommended) and the advertised 4.6 metre strech hose is certainly not 4.6 metres. I will be contacting Vax next week to see if they can send me a longer hose as the supplied one only reaches half way up the stairs.

All in all, I am please that I suggested this model to Mum and when she gets home, I'm sure she will be pleased with how her carpet looks.

That looks like a nice machine, what is the brushbar and extraction like?
