Get a new emtor tray. Easier and better. Hard to get gasket in even so it doesn't leak dust and dirt. I have never had good luck putting in a gasket. That seal is most important for clean vacuuming. |

I'd have to agree with Bikerray, I've replaced the emptor gasket on dozens of Kirbys and never had a problem with leaking, and it takes about 3 minutes. You can spend extra money to buy a new emptor tray, sure...but it won't be the original gray plastic or black Bakelite, it will be new cheap plastic. To each their own I suppose!
