I need a new switch for this vacuum. I see that the Hoover Conquest switch looks to be identical (at least it seems to be.) Will this indeed work? Prices online for these switches are very reasonable. Thanks! -Mitchell

I thought it was a different amperage, but I could be mistaken, it's been years and I just rigged side pieces to use new style switches after a point. Maybe finding a vac shop and confirming? I know the Fantom one is rated at 10amp.

My vac shop told me the original switch was discontinued.

They thought they had an extra, but they don't. I'll talk to them about that when I get the chance.
