While searching for pics of old Singer vacs, I happened upon a really cool photo of a store display showing Eureka vacs!

Enjoy....

Eureka!You have found it !!--

--The best 50s Eureka store picture I have seen.
The Eureka on the hassock seems to have the clear demo lid to show the "Cyclonic air action" listed on the far display.Even though the feature vac is the Golden Crown the other large RMs seem to be yellow/gray while the smaller RM seems to be red/gray with older atts.
Great display picture.Anyone have others such as the Lewyt 'marketplace',Universal,Hoover with Constellation lady or??

Thanks, Jimmy!

I was wondering about the colours too....Since this display is from 1957, it is Eureka's Golden Anniversary Year (1907 to 1957), and if I remember correctly, the RotoMatic canister and Automatic upright were green with gold highlights (like the headlight frame on the upright).

I think yellow and grey were the colours for the year before or after (1956 or 1958). Not sure.....I would agree that the older models on the right of the display were in that cranberry red of the early 1950's.

Eureka colors

Yellow/gray was about 1956 on first large RM.I would have thought they had only one color at a time with possible close out of previous color(yellow/gray) when the new (cream/green)was introduced. This might explain why the yellow/gray small RM has always been a rare vac to find.I have also seen Golden Crowns with and without the official 50th anniv sticker on lid.
