My Hoover Zen canister won't power on; what could be the problem with it? Filters are clean, no clogs inside hose & wand | ||

Does the power nozzle run, but not the canister motor? If the power nozzle doesn't run either, it's probably in the cord or winder mechanism. Were you using the machine when it shut off? The thermostat will reset once the machine cools to room temperature. If power head runs, but not motor of canister, it's possible one of the carbon brushes is stuck in the holder.
