Well, I got this from a lovely lady in my local paper for £15 but she bundled it up with a Panasonic MC-UG302 both for £35 :D. So anyway there was one major problem with it.It wouldn't stand up on its own :/ Managed to fix that though
Anyway hope you enjoy the pics etc.

Not many after pics but oh well. I smothered this piece in hot glue to make sure it stays. It probably will snap in the future but it'll do for now

Interesting read, you probably want to re-do it with some Araldite as I find hot glue isn't very strong.

Very nice! Weird that all the dirt was in the belt area lol. And LOL an air freshened that stinks, hehe lol

I also agree with Seanc. Araldite glue is very strong. I bought a Dyson DC04 once and I didn't realise it had a cracked handle. I noticed it was glued when I got it home. It survived the bashes and strain on the glued handle and still never broke. This was when we were having our house extension :) its just that if its left somewhere really cold, like outside it wont be as effective but otherwise a very good strong glue

Those little oblong air fresheners smelt horrible, unlike the round air fresheners Hoover used to produce.
I still have stocks of orchard blossom, spring bouquet, summer meadow and tobacco clear. They are like a time machine for me, with every whiff transporting me back to the 80's.

@ sensotronic

On our old DC02, the plastic of the handle/wand that goes into the pipe broke off. Glued the broken ring back onto the wand with Araldite, it's still attached and strong, probably 15 years after it was fixed. It gets used at work for vacuuming out PCs now. Hasn't had its filters changed since before 2008.

@seanc

the hot glue is holding up fine so it'll do for now
