Does anyone know anything about the "Performance Pack" set sold during the Kirby Heritage run (1981-1984)?

Picture of the special box included for reference.

I want to think it's merely the Convenience Group (attachments), Turbo Group and Super Renovation Group rolled into one.

Performance Pack

From the other pictures it would seem the tray for the polisher brush,Turbo sander and hair clippers slide into the PP box.Never seen them packed this way.

I located this forum while doing a search for "Kirby Performance Pack" while at my local Goodwill two days ago, I purchased 3 boxes of Kirby accessories, the regular attachments (Convenience Group)like a hose and nozzles was $2.99 and sales tax as was a complete box containing a Rug Renovator that looks barely used. The Performance Pack box was $4.99 and tax and contains a brand-new and never used floor polisher and carpet fluffer and belt (shown in photo 6 above) and it requires the Rug Renovator nozzle.

My Pack also contains a Turbo Brush, Turbo Sander, and Turbo Groom...I don't see a Turbo Brush in those pictures above. The real find in the boxes was the manual "Use & Care of the Heritage Convenience Group" that is dated March 1983. There seems to be a LOT of unused space in the Performance Pack box, but according to the manual everything that would be included in the Pack is there.

Thanks to all who contributed to this thread, you got me interested enough to join Vacuumland.

I will post pics of my finds and my beloved Heritage 84 if anyone is interested.

First off...a photo of my beloved Heritage 84. $12.99 and tax at Goodwill, it works perfectly. Plus a photo of the Performance Pack I just purchased for $4.99 and tax. Notice how one entire half of the box dividers are empty. According to the manual that came with the pack, all items that were available ARE included:

Turbo Sander, Turbo Brush, Turbo Groom, and Floor Polisher and Carpet Fluffer.

However, the manual DOES NOT specify ANYTHING about "Performance Pack"

All the contents of the Power Pack box appear to be new and never used...I do wonder however, if the empty filler for the PP box was possibly intended to be replaced by the "Convenience Group" attachments that are standard with a new Kirby. One photo shows my Convenience Group box fitting inside the Power Pack box. It's the ideal size. Hmmm...who knows?

I wonder if Kirby itself might know about this? Please call them up at 1-800-437-7170 and mention to them the Performance Pack.

KirbyClassicIII...being totally deaf I am reluctant to waste my time and that of the Kirby staff would would take my call...do you think it matters and do you think they would really know about an issue for a 30 year old machine?

I think not...
