I have purchased a used miele Capricorn S5981 off of ebay and I have also been hell bent on getting a blue moon after reading about how that was the best miele ever made. I was wondering if they can use the same power nozzel on both if I just wanted to switch up. Also are the miele blue moon power nozzles hard to come by these days? Thats what all the vacuum store owners tell me. I was just wondering if they say that so that I buy a new S8.
Thank you,
Cara

All Miele attachments are interchangable. The Blue Moon, which I bought NIB and still have, was packaged with the SEB236, which is still the current TOL power nozzle. They aren't hard to find because they're still produced. You can use every wand and attachment from the Capricorn on the Blue Moon. The only thing you can't use between models are electric wands and nozzles on straight suction hoses. Absolutely everything else is interchangeable between all other models, including the current uprights. The only exception is the ARTs, which aren't produced anymore. So, don't worry about nozzles and attachments. You'll love the Blue Moon, but make sure you get a later model with the 1200-watt Vortex motor. The Blue Moon happens to be the only model that was produced with both motors without undergoing a model number or name change.

Thank you!! I started looking them up and reading about them. I ordered the SES125 electric hose and the SET 220 wand from a local dealer in my area. What was funny is that I ordered the canister by itself from ebay for $125 . I was in such a frenzy to get it that I couldn't wait for a complete one to come up. When I called my local dealer they had a fully complete one for $399.00. By the time I added up all the parts and canister it was $395 exactly so I came out ahead somewhat. I will use the SEB236 from the capricorn model I have coming in tomorrow!! I'm so excited! This vacuum obsession is crazy!! I thought that you were trying to sell yours at one point? I previously have been reading all the old threads.
