I was checking out my Kirby Heritage II small head, and on the front and hidden behind the nozzle bumper is a sticker with a serial number that reads "1850903xxx" which would suggest this nozzle was intended for a model 2HD-13 built in September 1985.

If anyone with this small head has a serial number tag hidden behind the bumper on the front of the nozzle, I'd love to see yours. Thank you!

I have found similar serial number stickers in the head light housing too.

If you call Kirby maybe they can help you with that.

Ray,

Basically that serial number should match what is on the fan case.

I also wonder if the serial number on the nozzle is not really supposed to line up with the main Kirby unit (the motor)? You know, just like how on the G-series units, the transmission (Tech Drive) unit has its own serial number and should not be confused with the main motor unit serial.
