Got this perfect working order Dyson DC40 Multi floor. The previous owner had deceased. This Dyson had been given in a will, however they didn't want it. So they put it on eBay and I won it at a bargain price of £36! It can't be more than 2 years old...😄

So when I was about to go out, I was going to enter £35.01. Then I changed my mind and entered £37.01 and left. I was feeling quite nervous.😥 When I got home, however, a beautiful sight met my eyes when my iPad was in the bright screen setting and exploding with colours of the eBay logo, and most importantly, the green colour congratulating me of my purchase.😅

WHAT A BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!😱

Behold the Dyson DC40 Multi floor bagless radial root cyclone upright vacuum cleaner:😊

I seem to remember you slating the DC40 and DC41 when they came out. What changed?

They may not be as good as the latest models with the new floorhead but for £36 you can't go wrong and you could always buy the new floorhead I think it will fit :-)

And opinions change from time to time. I used to like Kirbys once until I used one for a while :-)

I found out my mate had a faulty DC41. The suction is meant to be 255 AW, but on his one it was not even as good as a DC04 despite having its filters washed and checked out! Dodgy machine then.

Even if they were piles of rubbish, this is a bargain for what it is. But they are not. They are good machines. The best Dyson I used was my DC07/14 origin WITH the seals in the soleplate. You know the one that lifted the at off the floor from like 5 feet away from the floor and took off my Flotex flooring which was glued down? That one.

Oh and. I thought the flexible plastic was crap. Honestly, but then I realised it was for durability purposes. The plastics would snap, however the plastic on the newer ones is shock absorbing. I also posted on another thread of me bending my DC14 handle about 45 degrees and it never broke.

So if you think about it, not such bad machines actually. Another fantastic machine by Dyson with a better brushbar and much more durable plastic

Yes Marcusprit, :) I might buy the older DC41 and the Mk2 or just the head. Not sure if it will work, it might or might not but hey the older one has more suction and the newer one has an outstanding head
