Wish they used this on the Juniors

I really prefer this spring thing compared to the "Belt" on the juniors to hold the bag on. Even though when i was putting it back onto the fill tube it pinged off and hit the window lol

you got that from me if i had known you were one of the gang you could of had it for free its been in regular use here in my house the motor has been cleaned and the bearings greased i know its a little shabby but its a good machine .I could have restored it to pristine condition but i already have two of these machines i will have a look through my spares if i can find a fan you can have it all the best Tony

This really IS a SEXY BEAST !
This machine does not seem to have been used too much, but simply "badly used".
This Pine-green version is my very favourite senior of the 652 series ! I have one in very good condition.
Emma, I suppose you will find a new fan very very easily, even if the bag might take a longer time and patience, but there are many machines for sale on ebay.co.uk ( I regularly search for VINTAGE HOOVER or VINTAGE SENIOR ), some are for spares or not working ( this is not a rare machine yet, anyway ) so you might be lucky to replace both the bag and the front lens that seems to be cracked. And of course - like I do - save the rest of the parts for you future restorations ! Cheers from Italy ! GUIDO

the senior

has spent all of its life in a large house in newcastle and was in constant use until 2 years ago and i wouldnt say its been misused its simply been used for the purpose it was designed for remember it over 40 years old

@guido

I usually do keep an eye out for non-working machines to use for spares

@anthony

Thats nice to know. Exactly, you can't expect a 40+ year machine to be out of the box pristine condition. It doesn't bother me it having a few scrapes it adds to the machine for me lol
