You did a great job, Michael, well done! Those were the very last Junior's. Even though they were budget vacs, I do have a real soft spot for them

A word of warning...

I had a U1104. I experienced long-lasting drive belts, but at the expense of the belt pulley wearing down quite quickly.

With the older round belt machines, the belts wore down quickly, but the belt pulleys lasted well.

I also found that the plastic fan didn't quite generate the same amount of suction as the older metal fan Juniors; i.e larger grit particles simply rattled about in the agitator cavity, whereas older machines sent them on their way with a "ping!".

I am absolutely in love with your new Hoover, I've always wanted an authentic British Hoover lol. I also didn't know they made Juniors as late as the 80s.

You have made an excellent job of the U1104 and looks great .I have my mothers similar vacuum with the earlier type of brushroll fitted to it and they are great cleaners. The armature had burnt out on it when i got it but have fitted a replacement and works as good as new but we got a Hoover Junior 1334E whilst i was repairing it and so the collection of Hoover Juniors started !!!

Well done,

WOW I am speechless You did an outstanding task with that machine. It comes across brand spanking new, with a cotton thread around the brush roll, demonstrating that it surely does what it was invented for, LOL hahahaha.

I am not aware that we had that model in South-Africa, If so then probably n handful only

Distinctively the Hoover Turbo power 1 brush roll design is seen in this model as appose to the usual metal beater metal brush roll housings with the replacement brush strips.

At 300W a slight increase from previous models and the "new" turbo power 80's brush roll design, it surely should work well.

Well done. happy hovering, and a blessing to all the juniors overs there.

well done

Many Thanks
Adrian
