Lets try that again...

I reduced the file size of the photos so hopefully it will work better this time....

Anyway, getting back to what I was saying. Here's my Hoover Special 541 that I am working on getting fixed up. I like the green color Hoover used when it was rebuilt and while its not an exact match I think the green cloth cord goes along pretty good with the rest of the vac. It certainly beats the old black rubber cord that was on it! The motor purrs like a kitten and its now sporting its rebuilt brush roll courtesy of Don O'Connor in Ohio. I tucked a Hoover style C bag inside the cloth bag to keep it clean and it still inflates nicely! I have a Hoover oil can on order (green label on it as well) to go with the vac and all I need to find is the knob for the power switch or a suitable replacement. Enjoy!

Nice job. I like the way it looks, rebuilt as a Special.

I lost an original 541 a few years ago in a nasty sewage backup at my old house and honestly didn't know if I would ever find another one. I still have some stuff on my list of things to do to it, namely giving it a much needed spa treatment, but I am so happy to have another specimen that is in decent enough condition that I could use it if I choose to!
