Tommy,

Of all my Kirby's, I think my Legend II is my favorite. The weight is just right and it's agility is great on short nap carpet or carpet with longer plush.

It can be converted to the Micron Magic bags with the newer brush roll and belt and you have one fabulous cleaning machine!

The attachments only make it better! Welcome to the wonderful world of Kirby cleaning!

Charlie W.

I'm so jealous! I just love that color scheme. I have wanted one of those machines for so long. As soon as I can get a Classic III, a Legend II and one of the Generation machines, my Kirby collection will be complete.. I was promised a Generation 6 by my significant other but for some reason or another it never materialized... GRRR!!! I have been a life long, die-hard Kirby loyalist. I simply love those machines. To me, their cleaning ability cannot be matched, and who doesn't love the retro-look they have maintained all of these years? My oldest Kirby is a model 560 that is 48 years old and it STILL cleans as well as some of my later models such as the Classics and Heritage I.

Hello, as I purchased it from Germany, it has 220 volts motor, so, no problems at all! I've been in the world of kirbies for many years as I already own two traditions (one is complete, the other for spares) a Heritage 1984 with all the tools, most of which were provided to me by Mr Tom Gasko, a complete G3, purchase by Mr Tom Gasko, with a new 220 volts motor( yea I was alittle bit crazy a few years ago!), then a g5 and 2 G Six and one Ultimate G...BUT I'm looking forward to using the Legend II because so many people have always said great hings about it! I'll let you know as it arries.
(All of my kirbies have been converted to take micron magic bags and not only my kirbies...also all my hoover convertibles and old vorwerks use them-)
Greetings!
Tommmy

Dear fellows, today when I arrived home vack to Milan after spending my weekend in the country house I found a huge box in the entrance...guess what it was...I'm still wandering how my old maid was able to bring it up! Look at my cat behind the box, he was just waiting for a huge box to hide in and paper to play with! Here are the pictures: this has been a VERY happy day for me! I literaly love this vacuum cleaner!
Best whishes, Tommy

It looks in fantastic condition and matches the draperies. This must be a very uncommon vacuum in Italy?

Legend II

I found one on ebay myself and it arrived last week in FANTASTIC condition.. better than new! Cane with just the basic attachments. I love how much lighter and easier it is to use without one of those bog old em-tors on it. It runs so smoothly and quietly compared to my other kirbys!

Hello,
I've been playing with this kirby Legend for a while and I'm impressed with it: the first thing I noticed is how quieter it is than the later "G series" and, after changing all belts, washing outer filter bag and putting a Filtrete bag it was ready for use. I have a Heritage and a tradition and I love how the rear wheels, placed outside, give the vacuum cleaner more manuverability in the upright mode and more stability when using the hose;In the upright mode it is fantastic on throw rugs but a little bit hard to push on my wall-to wall carpet, but I probably haven't found yet the most correct setting of brushroll height and toe-touch control for it. However it sounds lik it was new, I really can't guess why the seller wanted to give it away, however I'm sure it will have a wonderful life with me!!!
I haven't tried the carpet shampooer yet, I think I have to do it!!!! See you later, Tommy

IF its hard to push try the micro matic adjuster on the bottom of the pedal. Flip the machine over and if you look at the bottom pedal you will see a small screw with a screwdriver turn it clockwise on full turn flip it back over and try it if its still hard to push turn it once again. I hope this helps. Ps I never knew about it until my aunt give me the manual to hers. I just thought it was the filtration system not anything else.
Evan

Hello,
of course we had the G3 and all the later kirbies.Kirbies have been imported by a professional cleaning equipment company that used to import also Advance cleaners since the early Seventies.
For what I know the first kirby distributor in italy opened in 1986 carrying the Heritage II;
However in the Usa I know that the early versions of Kirby Legend II had te tools in the same style as the ones of the previous model; A second series came out with the same tools as the g3, probably while in some countries the G 3 was already the current model.
