I wonder who makes it? The other Evolution vacuums look like Bernina vacuums. Have you ever tried a Bernina?

The Lite is an ok machine. I sell them in my store along with the full size uprights. The Birnina's we're bought out by Dustcare a few years back and changed the badge to Evolution prestige. The Light in my oppinion is a decent alternative to the oreck. Although the bag capacity isn't half as much, it pulls 65 inches of waterlift and has onboard attachments. It has a kind of smaller Lux upright motor in it, which makes it totally rebuildible if problems arise. The full size line have single to two stage lamb motors in them pulling from 70 to 100 inches of suction and are much better built then the light.

A Sew & Vacuum dealer here in town carries the Compact Evolution uprights-I tried one in his shop-didn't think it was anything to really write home about. The dealer mentioned they were popular with the college students-good for cleaning their dorm rooms.I'll take a compact direct air vac instead-more efficient.Smaller motor to do the same job.The dealer also carries the former Bernina uprights under the Evolution name.I have two Berninas-one white and the other transparent blue-was a dealer demo machine.
