I just purchased the new avalir. Looks like the first one here. The salesman was dumbfounded on my sentria 2 trade. Love the new machine.

I need to hit up my dealer ASAP!!! He was supposed to contact me as soon as they were launched. Do you notice a big difference from the sentria II?

I think they're a lovely looking machine - no changes besides the colour scheme and a cut-out handle - but black is classic!

Well done! Enjoy!

True.. other than that handle, it doesn't look much different from the last couple.
Everyone was surmising.... and nearly breaking out in a rash over the new arrival.
I truly hope y'all like and enjoy them. They look like solid machines.
I have 3 older ones in my basement I'm going to try to sell.

Does it have the same brush roll?

I understand that it is a Model G10, so it should use the same brush roll.

Hi,

Yes the proof book and DVD manual show it having the same roller as the Sentria and Sentria II.

How does it clean any different than the Sentria II?

Unless they changed the fan or the motor, I suspect it would clean pretty much the same as the Sentria II.

Congrats!

Very nice looking vacuum, I hope you didn't get too taken on the trade-in! I'm a holdout until they come out with a totally new design. I have 20 Kirbys dating back to a model C, but just have one G3 as far as the series goes, all rebuilt, but rarely used. I keep that one because it's the first model of the design change.
