.
It was a cold gray day here in souther California and I was out doing errands and hunting for vacuum treasures.
I found many but will consider these 3 Hoovers.
First up a hand held I have never seen before, the S1083 Brush Vac, for $2.
Next I saw this stunning Purple WindTunnel marked $25.
And last but not least a metal based convertible, with what seems like a replacement bag and cord, offered at $10.
I got the tires rotated, stopped at the DMV, had lunch, and brought home one of these three.

The Convertible would follow me home without even testing it for $10!

I first saw the WindTunnel and was smitten by the color, and apparent excellent condition. It lacked the upolstrey tool but that seemed minor. I was almost going to buy it theni noticed the carpet/floor switch was missing and i wasn't sure how easy a fix that would be. The store was running a 75% off sale on other merchandise so i choose to wait on the WindTunnel and hope to grab it for much less another day.

I came home with the Convertible..

Someday i'll make it shine and post pics of the transformation.
I only visit here in southern California and haven't had the time to properly process my numerous vacuum finds, another 3 vacs were added just this weekend.
From what i have observed in the past few years the crop of used vacs has changed considerably.
Metal based Hoovers are down right rare now. Mountains of plastic bagless Eureka's and Dirt Devil's, Royal metal canisters? Fuhgedaboutit! So i keep gathering, while they are there, as my limited budget allows..
