I finally got a blue one last fall for $20. I saw it advertised on a local community website. Perfect except the bag isn't the original. I never thought I was gonna find one but patience paid off.

I don't know where you'll find it Cheaper but if you do get one you'll enjoy it. I sold a few back in the 80's, The
blue one was the first Eureka self propelled that they intro-
duced the first week of Feb, 1979. I remember it well, as I had just joined the Eureka sales force. Was taken with the
columbus, and cinc. branch Sales people to New Orleans for
the first Eureka Annual convention outside of chicago!
They actually romote controlled it, so it was by it self, prop-
elling around the stage. It was a grad intoducation to compete with the Hoover DAM self propelled. Much debat
about Eureka's rear wheel drive, as oppossed to Hoovers front wheel drive.
Just a bit of triva from the late 70's early 80's by one who
was there !

The blue model

is model 5060, from the early 80's.

The Hoover Concept was a much better machine.

I agree the Concept is a much better cleaner. The Eureka though is somewhat lighter in weight and easier to lift I find though I'd have to weigh them for verification. Even so it's still a wee bit on the heavy side that many woman would find objectionable or impossible to cart up and down a set of stairs.
