what is your most looked for machine? I had 2 a maroon hoover lark and a gold montgomery wards upright [eureka version] and luckily I found both this week. but still want a maroon eureka brandwine upright.not my picture.MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

Wow, well this is hard question really. Many of the machines I spent years looking for I have eventually come to own, but I would say that my Royal swivel top canister with the Royal built PN was the one that had me wanting one in the worst way, but the rarity of them made me think I'd never actually get one. I eventually found one that was an NOS floor model at another vacuum store here in Denver.

For a long time I searched for a Royal 215. I finally found one at the Goodwill outlet store in nearly mint condition except that it was missing the belt cover. A year later I finally found one but had to buy the whole vacuum to get it. Fortunately the wrong bag on it was just the bag I needed to complete a Royal 606 Comercial model. Here are pictures of both.

The Adjust-O-Rite plate I'm seeing on your 1974 model 606 is actually the correct vintage for your 1986 Royal 618. It was only on commercial-grade models produced after August 1986 that had the plastic pull knob. In 1974, a model 606 would have used the same light blue Adjust-O-Rite plate as the 880, with red "R-O-Y-A-L" lettering. ~Ben
